Mai Hu Kaun Ye Tujhko Nahi Hai Pata from movie Ahinsa – Ahimsa in Sanskrit means non-violence. A chance encounter between two widows who lost their husbands and sons to violence sets the story going. Birju (Sunil Dutt) has received the highest military honour in battle. He returns home to his village and promptly becomes an outlaw leader (dacoit). He crosses swords with a vicious dacoit called Raka. There is a slapstick comedian – Asrani who is the village priest who performs many a wedding. There is the usual mix of violence, attempted rape, forced marriage, theft, set in the 1960’s when men were men and rode horses. The tangle of family break-ups, the effect on children, single parenting, narrow minded rural India are all skillfully woven into the story.
Ek Soni Kudi Dila De from movie Achanak – Dr. Chaudhary must perform multiple surgeries on Major Ranjeet Khanna, who was shot by the Police while trying to escape from custody after killing his wife, Pushpa, and her lover, Prakash. Chances of Ranjeet’s recovery are very slim, if he does recover, he could end up mentally unstable or paralyzed. In the event he does recover, the medical staff’s efforts would be in vain as he has already been found guilty and sentenced to be hanged.
Ya Tu Sayaana Ban Ja Ya Main Budhiya Ban Jaayuun from movie Divyashakti – Prashant Verma is employ as a reporter with ‘Navkranti’ a media-house that publishes daily newspaper. The unlawful activities and injustice taking place in his surrounding frustrates him to the extent of single-handily revolting. The gang affected by Prashant’s behavior is headed by the notorious Tavu who in retaliation abducts and sexually molest Prashant’s sister Shalini which made her commits suicide. This sets off Prashant in a wild rage to deal with all wrong-doers accordingly.
Chal Nache Shor Machale from movie Dhamaal – Four slackers and con-men namely: Boman Contractor, who lives a wealthy lifestyle with his eccentric dad, Nari, who loves his antique car more than his son, and asks his son to leave when he damages the car; hot-headed Aditya and dim-witted Manav, orphaned brothers; and Deshbandhu Roy, a trickster who wears a magnetized belt; share a room with a lenient landlady, who eventually gives up on them and kicks them out. After a number of con tricks, the group are arrested by the Police, but released in the countryside. At this point they witness a car plummet down a cliff, with it’s sole occupant, Bose, an underworld don, who, before dying, tells them that he has hidden 10 Crore Rupees in cash in the St. Sebastian’s Garden, Goa, and if they find it, it is their’s to keep. The group race toward Goa in Contractor’s stolen car, little knowing that their plans will soon be foiled, albeit hilariously, by Police Inspector Kabir Nayak, who is angered at this Department for not appreciating his honesty, and is instead penalizing him by transferring him to Yavatmal; a bus hijacker-cum-bandit named Baabubhai, who holds Deshbandhu hostage, and Nari Contractor, who wants the money to repair his now completely damaged car. All want an equal part of the bounty, and each and everyone of them will do anything, even break-up their friendship, rules, laws, and regulations in order to try and keep the cash for themselves, and eventually end up in a race, using a wide assortment of vehicles, and even an airplane, with the winner(s) keeping the entire amount for themselves.
Divaro Kaa Jungle Jiska Aabadee Hai Nam from movie Deewar (1975) – The movie tells the story of two brothers, Vijay and Ravi Verma, who follow different career paths: Vijay is a smuggler and Ravi the policeman who is asked to hunt Vijay down. Vijay Verma (Amitabh Bachchan) and Ravi Verma (Shashi Kapoor) are the sons of a trade unionist, Anand Verma(Satyen Kappu), who was defeated and disgraced by the management of his firm using his family as bait. Unable to bear the public disgrace father deserts the family, and the sons are raised by their mother(Nirupa Roy)who brings them to Bombay City, who suffers the trials and tribulations of a poor single mother. Vijay Verma, the elder brother, grows up with an acute awareness of his father’s humiliation and is victimized for his father’s supposed misdeeds. In the process of fighting for his rights Vijay, who starts out as a boot polisher and becomes a dockyard worker in his youth, becomes a smuggler and a leading figure of the underworld.

Janmbhumi Pe Jaan Lutate Hai from movie Agnipankh – Vishal, Sameer Kelkar, and Siddharth Singh are Indian Air Force pilots who have been assigned to handle the latest fighter jets to be used against their enemies, the Pakistanis. While flying several sorties over enemy territory they gain valuable experience and it is this that prepares them to go into enemy territory. Unfortunately for them, they are captured and held in an encampment for war prisoners, treated brutally, and questioned ruthlessly. Despite this, they do not reveal any sensitive information. In this camp they meet several inmates who have been imprisoned since the 1971 war with India, and one of them is Shamsher Singh Shekawat. With him, the trio plan an escape into the night and into the wilderness of the border of no man’s land between India and Pakistan – with a ruthless Pakistani Military Commander hot on their tails with instructions to shoot at sight. The foursome know that they may not survive, either the enemy or the wilderness to return to their families and loved ones
