Mukhada Dekh Le Praani Zara Darapan Mein from movie Do Behnen – Bombay-based look-alike twin sisters, Vasanti and Malti, live a wealthy lifestyle with their parents. Their father, Raghunath, arranges devout Vasanti’s marriage with Ramesh, who lives with his widower father, a doctor, and a sister, Rekha. After the wedding, Raghunath is shocked to find Malti singing and dancing with a male named Anokhey in a nightclub. He brings her home, admonishes her severely and forbids her to leave the home. In response, she elopes with Anokhey, travels to Poona and books a room in Paramount Hotel. Shortly thereafter Anokhey shows his true colors, squanders her money, starts drinking, and frequenting prostitutes. He then takes her jewelry and walks out of her life. In order to recover the rent, the Hotel Manager contacts the Mathurs, and Vasanti and her mom attend to take Malti back home. While traveling home, the train meets with an accident and Vasanti passes away. Her mother tells everyone that it is Malti who has passed away, and compels Malti to take Vasanti’s place as a form of repentance for her mistakes. The question remains: Will an irresponsible Malti be able to pull wool over Ramesh’s eyes, and if so, for how long?

Tapki Jaye from movie Aanch – Vidya lives a middle-class lifestyle in a virtually lawless town called Amarpur, India, along with her widower and disabled dad, Shambhu; married brother, Shiva and his wife, Lata; and her paternal grandma. She studies in the Arts Commerce and Science college in Bombay, and is summoned home to get married to a man of her family’s choice, to which she reluctantly agrees. On the day of the marriage, a dancer performs an item which angers Mahadev, who is the Mukhiya of Mandaur, another lawless town, where the groom hails from. Friction breaks out, guns are drawn, people are killed, and Amarpur’s Mukhiya, Jawahar Pandit, decides to torch the harvest of Mandaur and flee. An angered Mahadev instructs Shiva to wipe the Sindoor from Vidya’s forehead, make her live the life of a widow, and not permit her to re-locate to her husband until he avenges this humiliation. Vidya is thus imprisoned in her home but shortly thereafter manages to convince her dad and Shiva to let her return to Bombay where she can continue to study and find a job. Shiva seeks Mahadev’s permission and as a result Vidya is permitted to leave Amarpur, leaving her family as virtual hostages just in case she decides to join her groom in Amarpur. During the train journey she has company of three males and two female students and finds that one male student is interested in her. After her arrival in Bombay, she meets with the young man again, an Engineering student in the same college, and is afraid he is stalking her, so she returns home to Amarpur. Watch what happens when this young man, whose name is Diwakar, a resident of Mandaur, follows her to Amarpur – setting off a chain of destructive events that will change and perhaps even shatter their’s as well as the lives of everyone in Amarpur and Mandaur.
Saath Saath – A young woman falls for her classmate’s idealistic, non-materialistic ways, but is troubled upon seeing his principles change after they marry.

One falls in love with a princess while the other with a seafaring gypsy. How Dharam wins the heart of a haughty princess and how Veer succumbs to the charm and determination of a gypsy girl is a good part of the story. The mastermind of the palace intrigue, Sujan Singh brings together a group of like minded people to help him stage a coup. Dharam Veer was the highest grossing film at the box office, in its day.
Nagin Dance Nachna from movie Bajatey Raho – Sabbarwahl is THE bad guy. He is evil, cunning and the biggest Con, all in the garb of a successful business entrepreneur. He frames Baweja – the honest man with principles in a bank fraud that costs Baweja his life, gets his assistant Saima behind bars and his family is left to face the music. Sabbarwahl himself is unscathed, scot free and goes on to commit one fraud after another and continues to live his high end debauched lifestyle. The VICTIMS: Mrs. Baweja. Sukhi (Baweja’s son). Mintoo Hasan (Saima’s husband). And Ballu (Sukhi’s best Pal). The poor sods! The victims on the other hand are scraping by some scrawny jobs, surviving on meager monies and feeble hope. However they stick together whilst stringing random cons every now and then. Until you realize that all these random cons by the victims are not random at all.
Dhol Yaara Dhol from movie Dev D – Dev who, after spurning Paro’s love due to a misunderstanding, turns to drugs and vodka for solace. Paro moves on but Dev still is in remorse. He meets Chanda, a prostitute with problems of her own. Dev likes her but his penchant for self-destruction prevents him and Chanda from truly getting together. He also meets sleazy people like Chunni, Chanda’s pimp who drags Dev further into self-destruction to further his own needs.
