Usko Nahee Dekha Hamane Kabhee from movie Daadi Maa – Pratap lives a wealthy lifestyle in a mansion along with his mother, Maharani. He is married to Parvati but the couple are childless. Then differences arise between the two on one hand, and Maharani and Pratap on the other. Parvati leaves and moves in with Dr. Bharati and his wife, while Pratap moves out to his own mansion. When Pratap gets the news that Parvati has given birth to a boy, he goes to visit her and secretly abducts the child. When he is unable to find a woman to breast-feed the child, he patches-up with Parvati and she moves back in along with an orphaned child, Shomu. The couple name their child, Shankar, who becomes friendly with Shomu much to the chagrin of Pratap, who instructs his staff to house Shomu in the stables. Parvati loves both boys equally, and the two children grow up almost like brothers, with Shankar falling in love with wealthy Seema, and Shomu wooing village belle Shaguna much to the displeasure of her to-be father-in-law, Balram, who complains to Pratap, who, in turn, asks Shomu to leave. Subsequently Shomu falls very ill and Parvati wants to go and see him. Pratap makes it clear that if she leaves – then she will not be welcomed back. The question remains what will Parvati do under these circumstances?
Hey Romana Teree Hee Bate (Ishk Ka Kalma) from movie Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal – Jaidev and Kavita Bhasin live a middle-classed lifestyle in Southall, England, along with their son, Sunny. During the mid-80s Jaidev was a huge fan of the all-Asian Southall Football Club, and their team was very successful so much so that it generated hatred from opposing mainstream Caucasian teams, who attacked Jaidev and the team’s star player, Tony Singh. This spelled the end of the team, and the ground was then rented out for weddings and birthday parties. Jaidev wanted Sunny to play for Southall, but Sunny believed himself to be British and joined the Aston Football Club. When the time came for selection, Sunny, often referred to as ‘Paki’, was sidelined. Embittered, he joined the Southall Club, and he, and the Captain Shaan Ali Khan, as well as Coach Tony Singh, steered the team to many victories including a place in the semi-finals. Just before Southall team was to play against Gatwick, they get the news that Sunny has flip-flopped again – this time he has switched to another more prestigious Club in exchange for a fancy sports car, a 4 bedroom mansion, a handsome signing amount, and an equally generous weekly allowance – leaving Southall to turn it’s ground over to the Chair of the City Council who wants to demolish it, and build a shopping mall and theme park in it’s place.

Dosto Nam Karna Hai from movie Deewanapan – Suraj Saxena (Arjun Rampal) lives in a remote hill station in India with his dad (Om Puri), mom (Smita Jaykar), and sister, Asha (Amita Nangia). Ranvir Choudhary (Vinod Khanna) does not appreciate the attentions of a poor man like Suraj on his daughter, and has Suraj brought up before him and introduced to his many friends, which include prominent lawyers, politicians, high ranking civil and municipal employees, the police commissioner as well as the state chief minister. Suraj is warned of dire consequences if he and his family do not leave town immediately. Suraj does not leave town, and hell descends on his family and himself. His mother is unable to purchase food and is publicly humiliated; his father is followed around by Ranvir’s goons, harassed, and robbed, and then faces the ultimate humiliation of being publicly arrested, handcuffed, and imprisoned on charges of conspiring against the country and loses his job; and some of Suraj’s friends exile him. With so much pressure, will Suraj relent and leave the city, or will he let his dad rot in prison? Ranvir has sworn to kill Suraj, and if he does so, what will happen to Suraj’s mom?

Shekhar still feels that they would be better off living away from Kiran’s family, differences arise, and Shekhar moves out with Ganga. Years later, the twins Ganga and Jamuna meet at a school outing and both decide to switch places to see how it is like on the other side. Both twins then devise a scheme that will bring their proud grandmother to her heels, and bring their parents together.
