Disco Bhaangra from movie Ganga Jamuna Saraswati (1988) – Gangaa Jamunaa and Saraswathi the most pious rivers, create a unique holy merger, popularly known as “Sangam”. There is Hansraj, who does it, and with the result Jamuna separates from Gangaa. Jamuna reaches Shanker’s home, Shanker who already loved her becomes extremely happy finding Jamuna in his home. In the meantime Saraswati was about to come closer to Ganga. When Hansraj, who had earlier swindled the property of Ganga’s father by illegal means wanted to get rid of the rightful owner Ganga, he got Ganga shot. Ganga was badly wounded and there was no hope of his survival.
Bhor Ki Shital Dhup Jab from movie Humm .. towards Nirvana – A wealthy and cruel businessman, Bhaktawar lord over a dockyard making all the workers his slaves. All the workers will work but no one will entail a salary, the union leader Tiger opposes this and protests and is eventually silenced by Bhaktawar. Tiger is unable to take any drastic step against Bhaktawar because Pratab, Tiger’s dad is Bhaktawar bodyguard. Taking advantage of Tiger weakness, Bhaktawar eventually murder Pratab publicly thus enraged Tiger who eventually murder Bhaktawar, setting the dockyard on fire and escape from the police. Years later Tiger is now known as Shekhar, a respected man with two brothers Kumar and Vijay. Tiger must now ensure that his past life is buried and ensnared a bright future for his two brothers.
Mohabbat Hai Kya Cheej Kuchh Toh Kaho from movie Hifaazat (1987) – After Laxmi has had three still-births, her husband, Satyaprakash and his mother are afraid she will not be able to give any more births, and therefore there will be no one to carry the name of the family forward. So they propose that Satyaprakash gets married for a second time, to which Laxmi consents to, and as such he gets married to Rukmani. After this marriage Laxmi gets pregnant and gives birth to a son, Rajkumar, and shortly thereafter Rukmani too gives birth to a son, Lakhan. Rajkumar is abducted, and disappears from their lives. Thereafter, Satyaprakash is arrested for the murder of a contractor, and sentenced to prison. Rukmani and her brother, Buddiram, take over running the household, and inflict abuse on Laxmi. Years later, a young man appears claiming to be the missing son of Laxmi and Satyaprakash, and he attempts to bring some sense and honor for poor Laxmi. But this does not last for long, when Satyaprakash is released from prison, he recognizes the young man, as his fellow prison inmate, and much to the shock and dismay of Laxmi, asks him to leave the house, little knowing that he has now thrown open the door for Buddhiram to kill him and Laxmi.
Raam Ji Ne Dhanushya Toda from movie Eeshwar (1989) – Ishwar is a simple-minded and honest young man, devout and religious, he cares for everybody he comes in contact with. Mandir Ki Murati Si Baithi from movie Abodh – Naive, childish and precocious, Gauri lives a wealthy lifestyle in a small town, Rajanpur, along with her sister, Ratna; her mom; and dad, Girdhari Singh. While at the fair, she gets into an argument with Shankar. Shortly thereafter, Gauri is told that her marriage has been arranged. At first Gauri is thrilled, then changes her mind when she finds out that her groom is Shankar, but reconciles herself to this marriage. After she re-locates to Shankar’s residence, she spends more time with Shankar’s young brother, while her husband starts to realize that Gauri has not matured yet and is unable to get intimate with her. Gauri soon becomes bored, and re-locates to her parents’ house, where she resides for several months. It is here that Gauri matures and realizes the importance of marriage and intimacy. She then returns to Shankar’s house, where she is welcomed back – though not quite as warmly enough. Gauri starts to realize that her childishness has resulted in getting the cold shoulder from Shankar – who eventually re-locates to study in another town. For several months, the family does not get any news about him, prompting Gajanan to take a trip to talk to Shankar. When Gajanan reaches the hostel where Shankar is supposed to live, he is told that Shankar has moved out. The question remains: Where has Shankar moved to, and why did he take this step without informing his family?
Bajaao Bajaao Shehnaayi from movie Bindiya Chamkegi (1983) – Shalini ‘Shalu’ lives a wealthy lifestyle with her businessman brother, Shyam Kapoor, and is expected to marry Surajbhan, the son of wealthy Thakursaheb. The reception does take place, but Thakursaheb subsequently informs Shyam that Surajbhan has already got married abroad to a woman of his choice. Shyam asks his friend, Ranjeet, and both arrange for Shalu’s marriage to Daulatram’s son, however, Bindiya does not approve of him, and as a result Shalu rejects him. What Shalu does not know is that Shyam is not really married, but has hired Bindiya to act as his wife; and what Shyam does not know is that Ranjeet is not who he really claims to be, but someone else who has got a number of scores to settle with Shyam.
