Yaa Dil Kee Suno Dooniyawalo from movie Anupama – Mohan Sharma (Tarun Bose) is a workaholic, whose life changes dramatically after his wife dies upon giving birth to their daughter Uma (Sharmila Tagore). He despises the daughter by day, and adores her when drunk at night. The film is about Uma’s coming of age and her relationship with a sensitive poet Ashok (Dharmendra) who slowly brings her out of her shell.
Jag Dard-E-Ishq Jag from movie Anarkali – Shahenshah Jalaudin Akbar is the grandson of Babbar, and the son of Humayun. He is known to have ruled over Hindustan with a humane and just heart. He knew in order to garner the support of the Hindus, he must treat them sensitively, allow them to worship freely, and in order to maintain this peace, he married Jodabai, a Hindu Rajput, the sister of Raja Man Singh. Through this marriage they became the proud parents of Shehzada Salim. Akbar first met Nadira in the Anar garden, while she was awaiting the arrival of her lover. So pleased he was with her that he wanted to reward her, but she only asked for an Anar, so he ended up bestowing her with the name of ‘Anarkali’. He met her the second time when she was able to revive Salim, who was seriously wounded in a war in Kabul. Once again Akbar was pleased with her, wanted to reward her, but again she turned him down. The third time she ended up annoying Akbar when she sang and danced in his court under the influence of alcohol, and he has her imprisoned. The very foundations of Akbar’s palace will be shaken to the roots, and his manner of meting out justice will be put to the extreme test, when he finds out that Salim is in love with Anarkali and wants to marry her. While Akbar may have been successful to end the strife between Hindus and Muslims, but will be able to break down the wall between the rich and the poor?
Ho Jab Se Mili Tose Akhiya from movie Amaanat (1954) – A dying man entrusts his lives earnings to Purshotam, a stranger he just met, and asks him to promise to take this money to his wife, and son, Pradeep, in a remote village in India, to which Purshotam agrees. The man passes away, and Purshotam goes to fulfill his promise, in vain though, as he is unable to trace the woman and her son. After sometime he experiences financial difficluties, and decides to use the money for his personal gain. Years later he comes to know of the rightful heir to these monies, but will he able to assert his honesty, or will he carry on as though nothing has happened?

Haiya Re Haiya … Ye Duniya Ek Saagar Hai from movie Bandish (1955) – Mahender has been responsible for the upbringing of Tomato, a young child at a very early age. Now Mahender’s health is getting worse, and he is afraid his ill-health may be contagious and may endanger Tomato. So Mahender decides to leave Tomato in the park near Kamal Roy, and instructs Tomato to call Kamal his dad. Tomato does so, and this results in utter chaos in the life of Kamal. He is unable to convince his lady love Usha Sen that the child is not his; and additionally Kamal is under pressure from his dad and mom to get married. Kamal begs Tomato to leave him, but Tomato refuses to do so. How will this impact on Kamal’s life and relationships?
