About the movie – Afsana Dilwalon Ka (1996)
A devout but very naive Muslim youth Banne (Ashish Kaul) leaves his village to go to Mumbai to live with Shakeel (Vikas Anand) and his beautiful daughter Saba (Juni). Shakeel and Saba do their best to make Banne feel at home and he soon starts to work for Shakeel’s small waste collection business. He and Sabha slowly get attracted to each other. He is a talented singer and soon his talents are discovered by Titlibai (Himani Shivpuri), who invites him to live with her and her daughter, Shahida (Rubaina Khan) who is also a singer. He is easily impressed by the attentions bestowed on him by Titlibai and the beauty of Shahida, who he is told he will marry soon, leaving poor Saba heart-broken. However, Titlibai has an agenda of her own.
